What if staying invisible has less to do with your strategy and more to do with how you see yourself?

Dr. Anastasia Chopelas sits down with expert authority coach Christine Blosdale — five-time bestselling author and award-winning media expert — to talk about what actually keeps talented healers, coaches, and entrepreneurs stuck in self-doubt and unseen by the people they're meant to serve. Christine shares how imposter syndrome most often shows up in overachievers, why building visibility without a clear business foundation leads to burnout and confusion, and what it actually means to step into authority from an authentic place. She introduces her media kit approach as a practical tool for remembering your own value, and explains why picking a focused lane — rather than trying to serve everyone — is what makes a personal brand genuinely magnetic. Dr. Anastasia also shares her own early days of podcasting as a deeply introverted writer who nearly said no to the whole thing.

If you've been doing the work and still feel overlooked, this conversation points toward something worth examining.

Welcome to break free from the burnout. I'm your host. Dr. Anastasia Chopelas, a physicist turned energy healer. I'm here to help you make the quantum shifts to release the hidden blocks to your success. Your next breakthrough starts now. I'd like to welcome my special guest, Christine Blosdale, to the show. Welcome to the show, Christine. I'm so excited for this conversation. Oh, me too, Dr. Anastasia. We're gonna have fun. This, some fun. Oh yeah, absolutely. She is an expert authority coach with over 25 years of experience helping entrepreneurs, coaches and thought leaders step into their brilliance, build magnetic visibility, and become the go-to voice in their field. As a five time number one bestselling author and award-winning media expert, she's mastered the art of turning self doubt into powerful authority. Christine, everyone who steps into visibility has a moment where they question themselves. Can you take us back to your journey? How did you start? And was there ever a time where you struggled with feeling like an imposter? Yes. I think we've all have those moments, of imposter syndrome. Some people live in imposter syndrome land and other people just visit, but I want you to know if it, if you're someone who has experienced this. It happens to overachievers all the time, right? It's those people who really wanna do a good job, or they wanna do it as perfect as possible. Maybe they've got this credential and that credential, and they're studying this, and they're really diving into their passion and their expertise. So that fear of not being perfect, of not nailing it, that can o overwhelm us. And it's usually when we have to stretch, when we have to do something that we've never done before and we're terrified about what we're gonna look like what other people are gonna think of us. And I myself had that, I was, for many years I was behind the scenes. I was a producer, I was a writer. I worked at a radio station where I got to, book guests and do the writing and all of that great stuff. And I was asked one day, the host of the show at five o'clock drive time, wasn't able to be on the, on air. And I was asked. I was told actually, basically they said, you need to do the show. You need to host the show. And I was like, are you kidding? No way. Imposter syndrome hit me really hard. I said, no way. I am behind the scenes. I am not supposed to be on the microphone as a host. This is not right. And they basically said, you have no choice. You have to do it because there's no host. today they broke their leg or they were sick or something. And so I actually had to work through that fear. And I sat in that studio with the, put the headphones on, brought the microphone, and the on-air light went on. And I'll tell you something, Dr. Anastasia, that was the moment my life changed. It was. Even though I was so scared because I knew I needed to do it for the audience again, they were tuning in. They, it was five o'clock in the afternoon, one of the busiest drive time slots for radio, and I knew I needed to show up and When that happened and the on air light came on, it was as if the angels, like that moment, ah, it was such a magical moment and I was able to feel the audience. I was able to hear them and the words that came out of my mouth were just the right words. So through these uncomfortable imposter syndrome situations we find ourselves in, on the other side of it sometimes is exactly where we need to be. And where we need to grow. Yeah. I almost had a similar experience. I met this woman, her name is Raven, and she has a broadcasting company called Raven International. She used to work for CBS and some of the studios here in the Los Angeles area. And she just said, looked at me and said, you need a podcast. And I'm going. I never even thought about that. That was just when I first started going full-time into healing and when I heard my podcast, I was full of you knows and ums and stutters and all of that. And now when I listen back to a lot of the free, just as speech flows freely and not scripted, I realized that most of that is now gone. But I used to my. Main mode of operating and communication was writing. So I write something and then speak it. So I'm a writer that speaks, and not a speaker that writes, and so I ha, and plus I'm super introverted, so it made it worse. Oh, Have a podcast show. Yeah, have a podcast. And I'm going like, who's gonna listen to me there? Lots of people. Yeah. And I'm still at it 13 years later. Wow. Yep. I get a lot of, I really love these interviews because I get to meet so many really wonderful, exciting, and brilliant people that have a lot to offer, and I want to highlight them more than highlight myself. but you in the process of doing that, you tell the audience a lot about your character and your spirit, and so it's, it's a win-win for everybody. Yeah, it is. I hope so. so many people I work with, like they're doing everything right, yet they're still unseen and exhausted. From your perspective, why do talented experts stay invisible, and how is imposter syndrome quietly fueling their burnout? I find a big reason why people are not connecting with their target, with their potential clients or customers or audience, is that they haven't built the foundation. So they're spending all this time and they're overwhelmed. We're all overwhelmed. We're overstimulated. I'm, I've been told I need to do this. I need to have a TikTok. I need to dance in my videos. I need to, have this on my website. We're told all these different things, and the problem is that we haven't started with a really solid foundation, and the solid foundation is really working on who you are. And who you serve and how you help them and what's happened. My grandmother used to say, putting the cart before the horse. So what we tend to do is we said, I gotta spend all this money on marketing and I need to take all these courses and I need these certifications, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. And it's like dressing up the outside of the house. And not building the foundation, pouring the cement, and we're inviting people to come into our house, but it's not ready yet. Yeah, so I also hear a lot about branding. You gotta have a book, right? There's all kinds of things. Love, I love the idea of having a book and having a podcast and all of that, but if you don't have the foundation of your business built, all of that does, nobody's going to, there's no connection. Correct. So having a book to promote your business is brilliant. but it needs to serve a purpose and you need to have your business foundation done, ready to go. So I know that when people go to my website, which is expertauthoritycoach.com, if they go to my website, they're gonna understand immediately what I do, who I am, and how I help people. And sometimes you can go to someone's website or their social media and you don't know what it is that they do. Or they do a lot of things. They go, I do everything for everybody. No, that doesn't work. It doesn't work. Yeah. I tell people, pick a lane.'cause I teach healers how to have a healing business. Because I, yeah. Propelled in five months to six figures, just having a healing business, right? I told them they have to pick a lane and they go, yeah, but I can help all these people. I go, yeah, what's your favorite thing to do? And I tell them to pick one thing, could be a migraine, it could be, Going from infertility to birthing a child. It could be any one of those th things. and yet, and they say, what? What about all the other people? And I say, yeah, but there's millions of people at that problem also. It's okay to bring people through the doorway of that one focal point. Yes. And then when they're in your house, then you show them your collection of knick-knacks, right? Yeah. Then you say, see, I'm the same way. And I used, and trust me, I used to be the same way. I used to say, oh, I help people, create a podcast to promote their business. I can help them with their social media. I can help them with their website, and so it. But it's confusing. So if you bring people in, in one way, I bring people in with my expert authority coaching, and then once they're in my la, my world, then I can show them, by the way, I can help you create a podcast for your business. I can help you with your TikTok videos, I can help your website, I can help. Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, all those things. Yep. But That's not my main message because it's too confusing. And we know if we confuse people, they won't choose. They won't pick anything. Yeah, it's true. So stay in your lane. Yeah, stay. Stay in your lane. And not only that, but people will find you better if you pick a lane. Yes. Yes. Yeah. So when someone is stuck in that loop of self-doubt and overworking, what's the very first shift they need to make internally to move from overlooked to becoming an authority? Really, something that's important is confidence in your skillset. And it doesn't come from ego, and it doesn't come from being arrogant or anything like that. As a matter of fact, there isn't, there is not an ego involved, but it's being very confident in what you do and how you help people. Yeah. So sometimes we need to be reminded that sometimes we need to have people that we have worked with to give us a testimonial or a review so that we can be reminded, oh my God. That's right. I did help that person through that process. Yeah. And keep reading your testimonials. Yes, absolutely, because we forget. especially healers 'cause they're always trying to help the next person and then they feel oh, it's just so pie in the sky and so woo and it doesn't really make a difference and people aren't changing. But yet, at the end of sessions, I just had a session yesterday with a long time client and she goes, I don't know what you did, but all the brain fog cleared up in just like a millisecond. It just, she just went from being whoop too. Awake and it wasn't anything she did, it was what I was helping her do. yeah. And you ha you keep forgetting that until somebody says, oh, that just shifted. I can think more clearly now. That's why I recommend everybody has a testimonials or reviews page on their website to remind you. of your value. Yes. And that how much you help people. I actually have clients, I'll ask them to do a video review or a video testimonial, and they're more than happy to. Yes. And the video testimonials are even more powerful than the written word. Because you can see people in their, you can see in their eyes, they're, they light up when they talk about you. Yes. And you need to be reminded of those things because being especially an entrepreneur or solopreneur by ourselves, we, it's a l it can be a lonely place if you, are isolated and you don't get that feedback from people. So you help people become in demand instead of chasing clients? I don't, I can't do chasing personally. No. No. So what actually makes a personal brand magnetic? And what changes do you typically see in your clients when they step into that energy after they've gained the confidence? Yeah. the, one of the first things is we do, we'll deal with the imposter syndrome issue because that happens to a lot of people, and again, overachievers, right? So very talented, very gifted, very, educated, folks en, en encounter, imposter syndrome. And one way that we, one exercise that I do, and this really helps. I think most people get over those type of things is to focus not on ourselves. It's not about us. it's not about you as a healer or you as a coach. It's not about you. It's about the people that you claim that you wanna help. Yes. It's about the people that you know, your audience, your clients, the people that you wanna serve. If you're a fitness coach, it's about the people you wanna help get healthier and happier through their body and have more time with their loved ones on this earth. So it's focusing the attention on the people that we wanna serve. That's a very big. thing that a lot of times people miss. It's a very important aspect. The other thing is, I love creating a media kit for my clients, and we go through, we create a media kit that is basically, it's showcasing who you are and with a little mini bio that just keeps reminding you of those gems in your crown. Those things that maybe you thought, oh. I did that a long time ago. That's not important. I'm able to sit down with you and to go, no, no, no. That is important. That time that I spent at America Online, even though it was maybe two years, that was a very valuable experience for me and I learned a lot in that time. So I make sure that I put that in my media kit. That I worked for America online and I worked for Microsoft. Yeah, that was a beautiful media kit by the way. I looked at it and I go, yeah, and I could see that you're like, fun energy, and you've got the pink and the black. That's, I was immediately attracted to it. I went through it and looked at it. That was a really beautiful kit. that's what I do with clients because. I need them to see it, and I'll tell them, I'll say, print it up. So you have, I have mine. I've been doing this for a long time. I still have mine right next to my computer so that I can look at it and be reminded of the things that I have done, but then also on the back of the media kit. We have suggested topics and suggested questions. Now, this isn't just for podcasters so that I'm a guest on a podcast show, but it's suggested topics. What it is it reminds me, it'll remind of my clients of the things that we're an expert on the topics that we can talk. Not only talk about that we love talking about yes, the thing that we're passionate about that will come across in the way we talk with people like excited. Like for me, I really love talking about healing relationships because relationships are so important and then I start getting really animated and so people can tell, 'cause I have. testimonials about people that have, it's basically changed their lives. Stopping stalkers, amicable divorces, people that have received money where money was withheld for years until finally I did a relationship healing. Did you also have to do one person and the everything falls into place, and so that to me is really exciting. Yeah, that should be, yeah. It's really exciting. You, that's something that you wish you could bottle up. If you could bottle that up and sell it, that would be great. Well, actually I do. Oh, I have a little You do? Yeah. I have a little program. I have a little freebie program that gives you a taste of it. And then I have a program that if you listen to it, things shift. Oh girl, you're gonna have to gimme that link. Okay. Yeah. you'll hear it. Please do. In a few minutes. Okay, good. And so what changes do you typically see in your clients when they step into, I am enough, I can do this, I am valuable. what changes do you see? The biggest change is. I would say is clarity. Clarity on, oh, it's like they'll go, oh, that's what I do. That's what I'm supposed to do. That's what I'm supposed to offer. clarity and a relief that they can be authentic. Authenticity is so important right now because as we see all around us, the world that we thought existed is crumbling. Yes. So we can look at Hollywood, we can look at the music industry, we can look at politics, the world stage, and we can immediately know when someone's lying. Yeah, we immediately know when something is not truthful, and our radar is such. We immediately know when something is of good purpose and what is not. Yeah, we can feel that. So when we're authentic and we're able to step into our authenticity and be clear, it's a very powerful place. Yeah. I call it my BS meter. I, I say that guy pegged my BS meter. Yes. Yeah, and I, and there are some people that I just can't listen to because it's just one lie after another, and the lies when they hit us, it affects our energy. Absolutely. Absolutely. You hear the lie and it's so low frequency, it hits us and it intermingles with our energy. So some politicians, I just, I see them, I turn it off. I can't even read about them. Yeah, I have to, to get away from it as well. And, And that's because we're all waking up. we're all, the veil is being lifted and we are all waking up. Yes. So that's why when it comes to business or when it comes to marketing our ourselves, it's really important to come from that authentic place. that we are genuine. And if we're not, that it's gonna come across. Energy is energy. Yes, it is. I agree. And I have a fun energy. I have a i, my husband and I laugh all the time. we're out, we walk every night for an hour together and. We laughed through the whole, the whole time. Just That's beautiful. Totally fun. And I do the same thing in healing sessions is that I make fun of my old things. Like I tell people about a former relationship and I go, yeah, it broke apart because before we agreed. He thought that it was all my fault and I thought it was all my fault. And then when I go, Hey, wait something wrong with this picture? Then we went our different directions and I look at everything with humor and people go, healing is serious business. And I go, yeah, but joy is one of the highest states or highest vibes that a human can be in. So if you look at your life with joy, you'll be in a much better, healthy, a healthier, happier state, and you'll attract more people with that. Absolutely. You just said something so key is that we put out an energy, we put out a vibe, right? A bat signal. And you wanna ask yourself, is that bat signal that you're sending out, is it something that you wanna get back, that you wanna attract back? If you noticed on my media kit and all my things on my website, the image that I use is one of pure joy. It is me. You can't even see my eyes. My eyes are look like they're closed because my mouth is open. I have this expression on my face that is like just crazy fun because that's how I work and that's who I am. When I'm working with clients, I like to keep things simple, easy, and fun. And so immediately you'll know from that energy people will be either repelled by it or attracted to it. Right. Yeah. there's a speech coach here that always says funny equals money. Yeah, I love that. I do love that. let's talk about people who feel deeply stuck. The ones who've done the mindset work, taken the courses, they still don't feel confident showing up. How do you help them finally break through that imposter barrier? I, it depends so much on their history, as someone who does working with healing. If we have a lot of trauma from our childhood, if we have a lot of things that have kept us small from our childhood and we're adults now, we, we go, oh, but of course I wanna be successful, this, that and the other. It's the subconscious mind that is really running the ship. Mm-hmm. And if we believe that we are not worthy of success in that, that little child is still thinking, oh, I'm not worthy of success. It's gonna be very difficult. It's gonna be difficult to promote that book that you wrote or to promote the program that you have. people are comfortable in their lack of success because they've always been there and they don't even know what success could feel like. So for me, I was comfortable in being tense all the time. I was grinding my teeth. I was always worried about stuff and when that stopped being part of me, when that went away.'cause I was always driven towards success. And when that part went away. I realized that I don't clench my teeth anymore. I don't worry, I don't chew the inside of my mouth. I go, wow, I didn't know that you could actually be like this and still be successful and still be, and be happy and earn good money because I thought that you had to be driving. And that was the only way that I could be successful. yeah. You learned that, you can also work smarter, not harder. Do you know, that's the thing. I don't know if you, are you familiar with human design? Yes, I am. Okay. What are you? I'm a projector. I'm a projector. Me too. Okay. So with us, what's funny is that, We're not supposed to go and seek out our, clients and the jobs and the gigs and the things we're not meant to do that we're actually meant to sit in our genius, sit in our amazingness, and yes, create and just be our little and speak and not worry about who's. Don't not worry about who is listening, the, we know that the right people will listen and being in that energy of just being our little apple tree and making apples. So do you have a, that's when you, do you have a defined center for making decisions? no. I actually, I just, I know that opportunities and I know that clients that come my way are. Are they're supposed to be in my life and they have been attracted to something that I had put out there. Yes, one of the apples that I put out there. But as a projector, it'd be frustrating for us.'cause we're like, I only had two defined centers. I only have the third eye in the throat, and then I have something called the Freak to Genius channel. That's the only active channel. Nothing else. I'm all completely empty. And so when I make decisions, I have to speak it out and hear it. And there are a lot of people, they feel it in their gut and I'm going, what are they talking about? I have the goosebumps. I'll get goosebumps. I. I get have, if I get the goosebumps. You have something. Yeah. If I get the goosebumps on the arms or the legs, if it's down my neck, then it's wow. Yeah. And it's the green light from the universe. Yes. Actually, I always say it's my angels speaking to me when I get those. Yes. Yes. So for someone listening right now, who knows they're meant for more visibility and more impact, what's one simple but powerful action they can take today to begin stepping into their authority? They can book a free consultation. Book a free call with me. Just speak it out. it's super easy to do. You can, you can go to my website and you can book a free call with me, or you can go to chatwithchristineb.com. That's a my booking calendar, but speak it into existence. That's why I create the media kit with my clients. They might not even have a business yet. They might just be starting and we're working on their branding or we're working on their business, but creating that media kit. Is you're creating something that you can step into. It's the same thing when I tell people they've never written a book before, and I say, you know what? Let's create the cover. Yes, let's go into Canva and create the cover. But they're like, but I don't know what to, I don't, I haven't written it yet. no, it doesn't matter. Create the cover and the book will come, right? Yeah. So I did that when I first, my, my book, the Diamond Healing Method. When I first wrote that book, that was 2015 when it came out and I created the cover front and back. I put my bio on the back and I put the image that I was having in mind in the front, and then I covered an old book with it and I carried it around. Brilliant. Brilliant. And yeah. And the book came out and the same thing with courses. I just sat down, what do I want? I created a two year certification program and I said, what would be My ideal certification program. And I wrote it all down and in three weeks I had 20 people signed up. Wow. Yeah. That was a $12,000 program. Beautiful. Yeah. But you see you, so that's the way you do it. Yeah, exactly. Yes. You create it. It's, and so many things in my life. Have been that I have visualized them, not just like a vision board type thing, but like actually really lived it, like moving to a new location. what I found is that instead of dreaming about it, saying one day I'll live here, one day I'll do this, I actually just would go and pretend that I'm already living there and I would go to the local Starbucks and I would say, oh, I love my local Starbucks. I love my dry cleaner here. I love my local a grocery store, I'm, and I would go and shop in that grocery store to get the feeling of, this is how, this is my local store. I, I love this place. And then that energy, it's like a magnet. It just draws you in and opportunities happen that are literally magical. Yeah, absolutely. That's well beyond vision board. Yes. Yes. Because vision Board is just, okay, I have this idea, but there's action that's required to, to make it happen. Yeah, absolutely. You, you nailed it. And it's not right, and it's not that, oh, I want that million dollar mansion. here in Los Angeles, that's a million dollar, three bedroom, 1000 square foot house condo. but I want that. expansive mansion that overlooks the water. And then just sit there and dream about it. Instead, go check out the neighborhood, talk to real estate agents and then let your internal, your subconscious, figure out how to make it happen. Don't worry about the how. Yeah, don't worry about the how. Yeah. How is a dirty word in my language is what will it take to make it happen, is what I say instead. I love it. Yeah. We don't do how's, no. Yeah. So you have a free quiz to help people get more clarity. Could you describe that a little bit? Yes. So these are 10 questions, easy questions that you should be asking yourself anyway. And it doesn't matter what kind of business you're in, these are 10 questions are super simple that you should be asking yourself. And once you go through the quiz, you, you get an expert authority rating. It's not a, it's not a test. You don't pass or fail, but, it does give you an idea of where you're at and where you can do a little bit better. So you might be somebody who all questions you just check off and you are at the top of it. You've, you are an expert authority in every single sense of the imagination. But then there's some of us that, there, there might be some areas that we excel at and others that we don't. So it just helps you, remind you, helps to remind you about what you maybe you forgot about or you didn't think about. When it came to your business. And it's a great tool for that. And then, also we can have that quick, go over, we can have a consultation and go over your answers on that so you know the next step. Yeah. and I'll have the link in the show notes, expert authority quiz.com so you'll be able to find it.
